A page for the whole life of someone you love.

Whole Life Story keeps their story in one place: the photos, the years, their voice, and the words of the people who knew them. A small engraved piece carries a QR code, and when anyone scans it with a phone camera, the page opens, at home, where they rest, or from wherever in the world you are.

An engraved plate, and the page its QR code opens. The name is an example; the QR code opens this site.

A year with the page

Every piece has a QR code on it. Point a phone camera at it and the page opens. No app, no account, no password.

  1. In the first days

A plate can arrive while everyone is together

Where our pieces are made locally, we make the plate quickly and bring it to the family. Anyone who points a phone camera at its QR code sees the page open, with the portrait, the name and the dates, even before the family has written more.

  2. When they are laid to rest

A plate is placed where they rest

A small metal plate, engraved with the name, the years and a QR code. Visitors scan it to open the same page.

  3. By the fortieth day

    The family adds the story

Photos, milestones, a recording of their voice. Brothers and sisters can add to it from wherever they are.

  4. Every November

    Family far away visit too

On Undas, a relative in Dubai or Singapore opens the page on their phone, from a shared link or the QR code, and leaves a few words for the family.

  5. Every year after

    The page is still there

It never expires and is never taken down. Scan the QR code today or years from now, and the same page opens.

How it works

  1. Tell us about them

Send us their name, their dates and a photo you love, by message or by phone. If you are abroad, tell us where your family is.

  2. We make the page and the piece with you

We set up the page together. Before anything is engraved, you see a proof, so every letter of the name is right.

  3. It arrives with your family

Any phone camera opens the QR code. There is no app to install, and no one needs an account to visit.

  4. The family takes over the page

A claim card comes with the piece. Whoever in the family redeems it becomes the page’s owner, whether that is the same week or a year later.

A piece often arrives before the family has finished writing. Until then, a scan shows the portrait, the name and the dates, so the QR code always leads somewhere.

What’s on a page

The family decides what goes on it, and who sees each part.

Their story
Written by the family in their own words, as long or as short as it needs to be.
Photos
Old prints and phone pictures, turned the right way up. Any location hidden inside a photo is removed before it is kept.
Milestones
The years that mattered: where they were born, who they married, the work they did, the people they raised.
Their voice
A recording of them singing, praying or telling a story, kept just as it was.
Messages
People who knew them leave a few words. The family reads each one before it appears.
Candles
Anyone can light a candle. The family sees who did; everyone else sees how many are burning.

Who sees what

Always shown
The portrait, the name, the dates and where they rest.
For everyone
Sections the family opens to anyone who visits.
Kept for family
Sections that open with the family code: six letters and numbers the family shares with relatives, separate from the QR code, and easy to say out loud. A phone that has entered it once remembers it. Everyone else sees a quiet note, not a sign-in screen.
Hidden
Sections kept off the page until the family is ready.
  • The family can invite brothers, sisters and cousins to help, with a link they send over Messenger.
  • Videos can be linked from YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo. They play from the original post, so they last as long as that post does.

The pieces

Each carries its own code. One page can have several, for different places and different people.

  • Engraved metal plate

For the place where they rest. Small enough to fit where a longer inscription cannot.

A scan opens the sections the family made public. Sections kept for family stay closed without the family code.

    Honor their story

  • Acrylic frame

For the home altar or a shelf, where the family sees it every day.

It starts closed, like the plate. The family can let it open family sections too, with no family code needed.

    Honor their story

  • Pendant

Worn close, by a son, a daughter or a grandchild.

It can open family sections for whoever scans it, because it stays with family.

    Honor their story

  • A page on its own

The page, for families anywhere in the world, with four designs to print at home: a QR card, a memorial card for the wake, a bookmark and a frame insert.

It opens the page the same way a plate does.

For family abroad

You, wherever you are
Arrange everything by message or phone. The page opens on your phone the same as it does at home.
Your family, at home
The piece is delivered to them in the Philippines, with the claim card, so they can look after the page with you.

One page can have several pieces: a plate where they rest, a frame at home, a pendant for each brother and sister abroad.

The page stays

A plate may be there for decades, longer than any company can promise to last. So these are the promises we make about the page it opens, in writing.

  • The page never expires, and it is never taken down for non-payment.
  • The QR code on a piece is never pointed at a different person. If a family removes their page, its QR code and address show a quiet notice, and are never given to anyone else.
  • The family can download everything on their page, whenever they want.
  • We keep a plain archive copy of every page that can be hosted without us. It holds only the sections the family made public; sections kept for family are only in the family’s own download.
  • Videos linked from YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo play from the original post, and last as long as that post does.

Questions families ask

Do visitors need an app or an account?

No. Any phone camera opens the QR code, and the page opens in the browser. Only the family signs in, to make changes.

What if the plate arrives before the page is finished?

A scan still shows the portrait, the name and the dates, and visitors can light a candle. The rest appears as the family writes it, in their own time.

Can we change the page later?

Yes, whenever you like: add photos, correct a date, rewrite the story. The QR code on the piece keeps opening the same page, even if the page’s address changes.

Who can see the parts we keep for family?

Only people with the family code, and family members who sign in. Those sections are never sent to anyone else’s phone, and they are never in the public archive copy of the page.

Can relatives abroad take part?

Yes. They can visit the page, leave a message and light a candle from anywhere. The family can also invite them by link to add photos or help write.

What happens to the page if your company closes?

We keep a plain archive of the public sections of every page, built so it can be hosted without us, and the family can download everything on their page at any time.

The web address is renewed for the longest term available.

How much does it cost?

Every option is paid once. There is no subscription, and the page is never taken down for non-payment. Ask us for current prices.

How long does delivery take?

It depends on where your family is. Tell us the town or city and we will tell you when the piece can arrive.
